Torsten Dahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 8 minutes, Jan-Erik Skoog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alekärr IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Erik Skoog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Axel Gudmundsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Gudmundsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Honduras booed when Alekärr IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Axel Gudmundsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Axel Gudmundsson made a great header on Alekärr IF's corner, it was just that Honduras's Lautaro Navarro managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 33rd minute Jan-Erik Skoog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Alekärr IF's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Torsten Dahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Ingmar Pilgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alekärr IF and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Torsten Dahlquist but with some difficulty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Gudmundsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Erik Skoog in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joar Sundin during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joar Sundin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Moises Tafalla notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Alekärr IF's Torsten Dahlquist. Torsten Dahlquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ståle Stolpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alekärr IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ståle Stolpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingmar Pilgren kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Smefeldt in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alekärr IF's Ståle Stolpe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 2-3 after 77 minutes of play. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Ståle Stolpe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-4. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
