With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torsten Dahlquist saved Alekärr IF from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torsten Dahlquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Skoog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20thth minute of the game Jan-Erik Skoog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 27th minute of play forced Alekärr IF's goalkeeper Torsten Dahlquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Dahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 29th minute of play. Torbjörn Smefeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 42 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alekärr IF the free kick. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Berganza. The Alekärr IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Alekärr IF's goalkeeper Torsten Dahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Alekärr IF's Torsten Dahlquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Alekärr IF from getting a goal against them. After 61 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. After 63 minutes, Ulf Svensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alekärr IF and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alekärr IF's Ulf Svensson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alekärr IF's Torsten Dahlquist didn't even have to move. Miguel Miralles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Torsten Dahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Torbjörn Smefeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Torsten Dahlquist in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torsten Dahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, Alekärr IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ture Brander to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joar Sundin's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joar Sundin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alekärr IF's Joar Sundin got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alekärr IF's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Dahlquist came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Torsten Dahlquist could save by the left post. Panama's Miguel Miralles was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Torsten Dahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
