Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Moises Fernandino took the kick off in the first half of the match. Armando Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Fernandino's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Artigas's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Armando Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 26th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Artigas's Benedicto Agustin got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Leguizamo in the 30th minute of play forced Artigas's goalkeeper Armando Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 32nd minute of play. Artigas's Ramond Casas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Rubio, made in the 34th minute of the game. Luis Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Artigas booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vidal Tejeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentino Ferrant made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mateo Leguizamo immediately put the ball in play. Valentino Ferrant made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Artigas's Serafin Morenas. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sugar Quer to make the kick off. Abram Luque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Demario Urquiaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Artigas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demario Urquiaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Valentino Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Artigas's Serafin Morenas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A throw-in in the 74th minute of the game was made by Demario Urquiaga with Vidal Tejeda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Armando Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 78th minute of play. Moises Fernandino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armando Brito firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Artigas's goalkeeper Armando Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Tamayo. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Abram Luque took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Armando Brito to make any attempt to save it. After 90 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. With a little luck, Artigas's Armando Brito got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Moises Fernandino in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Artigas's Serafin Morenas. The Artigas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El Salvador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
