In the 17th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's attentive Arturo Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Romulo Erdiano made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. After some careless play in the CA Twister Rodríguez defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Toribio. The CA Twister Rodríguez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Toribio should have stopped the shot. Romulo Erdiano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of Uruguay booed when CA Twister Rodríguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Erdiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The CA Twister Rodríguez players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Ekialde to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Toribio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-4 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Toribio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Uruguay's Francisco Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Toribio. Tomás Toribio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Venceslao in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Ekialde in the 77th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CA Twister Rodríguez made a substitution. Flavio Santio replaced Ramon Bazkoare. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Tomás Toribio. In the 94th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay played a much better game than CA Twister Rodríguez and deserved their victory.
