Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marty Byrde got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Union Sportive Modane booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislas Mazy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Stanislas Mazy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Stanislas Mazy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Union Sportive Modane's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislas Mazy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Union Sportive Modane's Robin Briatte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 minutes Union Sportive Modane's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Union Sportive Modane's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Union Sportive Modane's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Marty Byrde's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ignacy Milan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Union Sportive Modane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Bichon to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanislas Mazy in the 30th minute. If Stanislas Mazy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacy Milan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Stanislas Mazy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union Sportive Modane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Union Sportive Modane's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacy Milan came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Union Sportive Modane's goalkeeper Ignacy Milan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Union Sportive Modane's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 64th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Stanislas Mazy hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Stanislas Mazy managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 85th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Byrde in the 86th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Byrde, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Union Sportive Modane's Keimo Peuhkuri got a free kick in the 90th minute.
