Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marty Byrde got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Union Sportive Modane's Marty Byrde tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Stanislas Mazy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Robin Briatte struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union Sportive Modane. Charlie Trinquier got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Stanislas Mazy. Charlie Trinquier made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Keimo Peuhkuri. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacy Milan having to interfere. In the 37th minute, one of Union Sportive Modane:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Union Sportive Modane. Tomas Illescas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 41st minute of the match, Stanislas Mazy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Union Sportive Modane's Marty Byrde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Union Sportive Modane's Ignacy Milan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Union Sportive Modane from getting a goal against them. After having played for 52 minutes, Stanislas Mazy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Sportive Modane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislas Mazy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacy Milan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Ignacy Milan in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Union Sportive Modane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Briatte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacy Milan having to interfere. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Union Sportive Modane's goalkeeper Ignacy Milan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Byrde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Briatte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Briatte, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Briatte in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Robin Briatte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Briatte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
