With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Roberto Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Eger in the 7th minute of play. Roberto Eger struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Clube PG. In the 12th play minute Roberto Eger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Bob Holz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Ernani Rosa put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. With an all-out effort, Paraná Clube PG's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernani Rosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Roberto Eger succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. 29 minutes into the match, Roberto Eger notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Paraná Clube PG's Roberto Eger in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oswaldo Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Holz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Eger in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oswaldo Velloso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Eger in the 62nd minute of the match. When Roberto Eger came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Paraná Clube PG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Eger couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Oswaldo Velloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Eger in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Velloso came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paraná Clube PG made a substitution. Zé Castro replaced Kauan Negri. Mazinho Valadares made a great header on Paraná Clube PG's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
