The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Tomasz Waldoch made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pankracy Zajonc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zajonc having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Alonso Berganza in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch. 30 minutes into the game, Alonso Berganza threw the ball into play from the sideline. MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pankracy Zajonc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 36th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cai Yuan Yuan went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Pankracy Zajonc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of the match. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Basilio Ovando in the 45 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 47th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Tomasz Waldoch. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cai Yuan Yuan in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Zajonc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tomasz Waldoch hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Tomasz Waldoch. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tomasz Waldoch, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save MZ Fénix from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Yuan Yuan came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 80th minute of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Cai Yuan Yuan sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Pankracy Zajonc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the MZ Fénix defense, Rafael Gallo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pankracy Zajonc. The MZ Fénix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pankracy Zajonc should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Peru's Pankracy Zajonc threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. MZ Fénix were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
