After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 박 계 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 유 곽 in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, EssenFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 사 성 to maneuver through the defense. EssenFC's 박 계 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save EssenFC from getting a goal against them. 박 계 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Park Jíša's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. 박 계 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 박 계 saved EssenFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play forced EssenFC's goalkeeper 박 계 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. 박 계 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 52nd minute of play. Alex Cambeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 박 계 having to interfere. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 박 계 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alex Cambeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 박 계 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of EssenFC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 박 계 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when 사 성 tried to sneak it across the goal line. France Austria kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Park Jíša, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 87 minutes into the match, EssenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but 박 계 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. 박 계 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
