The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Haiti booed when Diriliş Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selman İlkcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birant Nezih kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Felix Dorval charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 33 minutes of play, Diriliş Trabzonspor's Selman İlkcan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Seide was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jean Marie Alcius was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, one of Haiti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Diriliş Trabzonspor's Mehmet Çağrı Mümtaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernso Constant in the 42nd minute of play.

After a defensive mix-up in Diriliş Trabzonspor's zone, Philippe Ambroise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Çağrı Mümtaz came out of the goal and Philippe Ambroise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rıfkı Hazar during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Diriliş Trabzonspor's Rıfkı Hazar got a free kick in the 60th minute. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gafur Yarlık in the 65th minute of the match. Noel Seide stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selman İlkcan's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Şinasi Hilal, made in the 85th minute of the game. Yetkiner Gökekin's late challenge caught a Haiti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yetkiner Gökekin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Diriliş Trabzonspor's Yetkiner Gökekin got a free kick in the 87th minute. Diriliş Trabzonspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
