The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Victorio Ado in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Polo Quinteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Fernando Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Enceanu in the 40th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Vlad Enceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half San Fernando Eagles were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Fernando Eagles walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
