Geert Wijgaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilberto Lalla was slow to take the kick. During this time MAGNIFICOS.FC's players had a chance to rest. Lara Guadalupi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of play. Lara Guadalupi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Paul Albeanu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAGNIFICOS.FC. Lara Guadalupi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes MAGNIFICOS.FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lara Guadalupi quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when MAGNIFICOS.FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Requena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAGNIFICOS.FC's goalkeeper Lara Guadalupi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Efraim Gilabert with Milagros Fraga as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geert Wijgaert to strike the kick off in the second half. Lara Guadalupi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 50 minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Geert Wijgaert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. In the 70th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lara Guadalupi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. 82 minutes into the match, Geert Wijgaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geert Wijgaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso.
