Arne Kilström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of the match. Arne Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. AIK FOTBOLL were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvin Bergfelt took the corner. Alvin Bergfelt made a great header on AIK FOTBOLL's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Oskar Nykvist in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arne Kilström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arne Kilström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arne Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes AIK FOTBOLL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. Alvin Bergfelt hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 46 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Morgan Blom to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Arne Kilström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Arne Kilström made a huge save. After 61 minutes of play, AIK FOTBOLL's Per-Oskar Nykvist made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! AIK FOTBOLL made a substitution. Jörn Hylander replaced Gürkan Gurka. AIK FOTBOLL made a substitution. Fredrik Axelsson replaced Per-Oskar Nykvist. Matias Roganović kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredrik Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Camilo Gisbert made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. The supporters of AIK FOTBOLL booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Bergfelt, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by AIK FOTBOLL's Fredrik Axelsson. But to his dismay, Fredrik Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Fredrik Axelsson took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3.
