Luis Zamora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Cazacu in the 22nd minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Cazacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to C.F Intercity getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Aarón Campos hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremie Van Nel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. C.F Intercity's Jeremie Van Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 42nd minute of play. When Guillermo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jeremie Van Nel made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Brandon Stamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.F Intercity's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Cazacu to make the kick off. Jose Manzanedo made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Orlando Casaus. Jeremie Van Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 57th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cazacu in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.F Intercity's Şimşek Miran was substituted for Song Xiao Li. Oscar Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. C.F Intercity's Oscar Ortiz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremie Van Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luis Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, C.F Intercity's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Jeremie Van Nel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremie Van Nel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Olivar Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Olivar Ribeiro came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandon Stamp kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The long shot by Oscar Ortiz in the 97th minute really tested Thiago Pliego's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
