Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Paul Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Bertassi was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After having played for 27 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Bertassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after GynBsb's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Dráusio de Andrade tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Frederico Bertassi. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 33rd minute. A collision led to GynBsb getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Andrézinho Goiano hit a great ball. Fellipe Cosme's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Fernandes in the 69th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GynBsb getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Andrézinho Goiano hit a great ball. Tiso Posse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Frederico Bertassi in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Danielsson in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frederico Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, GynBsb's Tiso Posse got a free kick in the 95th minute. Frederico Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. GynBsb were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Venezuela to leave the ground with a draw.
