After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ladislao Isadore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 41stth minute of the game Freddie Sandström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddie Sandström in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Schlurp IF getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Stig-Arne Jansson hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 46thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Schlurp IF's keeper Mats Lindgren was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddie Sandström made a kick off. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Schlurp IF's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Lindgren came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. When Schlurp IF's Fredrik Sandberg in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 61st minute Ladislao Isadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Freddie Sandström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddie Sandström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Schlurp IF's Freddie Sandström in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Schlurp IF's goalkeeper Mats Lindgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Venezuela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Schlurp IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Schlurp IF.
