The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play. Natasha Sjøholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of the match. Natasha Sjøholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Griskultingarnas FF's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Natasha Sjøholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Griskultingarnas FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Natasha Sjøholm quite easily take care of the ball. Natasha Sjøholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 27th minute of play forced Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jochem Klooster got free with Julio Vera in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 40th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Busk in the 41st minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jochem Klooster made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Griskultingarnas FF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jonatan Smedfeldt hit a great ball. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Busk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Griskultingarnas FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Hansson during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Griskultingarnas FF getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Karl Hansson hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Natasha Sjøholm. That made the score 0-1 in the 65 minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochem Klooster in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Busk in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute Jochem Klooster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Griskultingarnas FF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
