Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Born To Win F.C.'s Gaizka Aballe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Curro Quevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaizka Aballe in the 9th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Lautaro Navarro managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Born To Win F.C.'s Gaizka Aballe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curro Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Born To Win F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Curro Quevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Born To Win F.C.'s Saturnino Ledo got a free kick in the 18th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Fresco Pais recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro. Fresco Pais showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Curro Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Curro Quevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Luca Espinar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Espinar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curro Quevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Gaizka Aballe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Born To Win F.C.'s goalkeeper Curro Quevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Born To Win F.C.'s Curro Quevedo. Curro Quevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaizka Aballe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gaizka Aballe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaizka Aballe in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizka Aballe came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Curro Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute of play. Born To Win F.C.'s Curro Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Saturnino Ledo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Born To Win F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlo De Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Born To Win F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Born To Win F.C.'s Gaizka Aballe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 86 minutes into the game, Arlo De Toro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Arlo De Toro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Curro Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Born To Win F.C. could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
