Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Clayton Gol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Yahia van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yahia van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 minutes of play, Sheriff's Damaso Xacintu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yahia van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Clayton Gol notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Xacintu in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Gol in the 26th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Yahia van der Saar in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raphael Moore made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Monty Rogers immediately put the ball in play. When Sheriff's Clayton Gol in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Xacintu in the 39th minute of the match. Jenson Smith might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yahia van der Saar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jenson Smith ran back to his position shaking his head. Alejandro Rubin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Yahia van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The USA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sheriff were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clayton Gol got free with Marco Day in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monty Rogers took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yahia van der Saar. Yahia van der Saar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 56th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sheriff defense, Edward Mcdonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yahia van der Saar. The Sheriff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yahia van der Saar should have stopped the shot. Yahia van der Saar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Mcdonald went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Gol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 83rd minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Brown to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Clayton Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheriff's supporters rose to their feet, but Clayton Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 93 minutes, Clayton Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheriff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clayton Gol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. USA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
