After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Dinu Bocu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Dinu Bocu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavlos Konstantakakis. Hamburg Fighters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. When Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Balla got free with Thiago Pliego in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gianluca Balla scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pavlos Konstantakakis came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianni Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 34 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gianni Balla who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Hamburg Fighters's corner Gianni Balla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Balla in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Bocu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Thiago Pliego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Chile were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Dinu Bocu made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lacasa to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavlos Konstantakakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavlos Konstantakakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hamburg Fighters fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Pavlos Konstantakakis made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Pavlos Konstantakakis however easily saved by the left post. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavlos Konstantakakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
