In the 17th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Luke to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Nesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Bernabe Arano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Romero in the 38th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Birjaio. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Florinio to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Serafin Luke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonifacio Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. CERPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Nesto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Luisito Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Yala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Birjaio couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Bonifacio Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernabe Arano was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Ermegildo Gora hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Prudencio Lluciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Horado in the 78th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Lore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CERPA the free kick. Fulgencio Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Ermegildo Gora fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERPA's protests and gave Ermegildo Gora a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 minutes, Mauro Vellito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yala and the CERPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mauro Vellito hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Valente during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yala were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
