After 4 played minutes Bernardo Romeo rounded CERPA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, CERPA's goalkeeper Bernabe Arano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Tipi. If Clodoveo Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Romeo Florinio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gerardo Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when CERPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Romeo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Corderro in the 29th minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Bernabe Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Tipi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Bernabe Arano made a huge save. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when CERPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Romeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Gonza kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Romeo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Luke to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Tipi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernabe Arano was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Gavino Fortun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Ofelio in the 71st minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Bernabe Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SAN LORENZO FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when SAN LORENZO FC's Maximino Ofelio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maximino Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SAN LORENZO FC's zone, Romeo Florinio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Romelio came out of the goal and Romeo Florinio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio got control of the ball when Romeo Florinio tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Ofelio in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Arano saved CERPA from getting behind. In the 81st minute SAN LORENZO FC were awarded a corner. Nereo Timo went to the cornerflag to take it. A hard shot 89 in the game by Romeo Florinio from a close distance when the talented Gerardo Romelio managed to make a qualified save. SAN LORENZO FC's players were relieved. A collision led to CERPA getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alberto Herauso hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Fabricio Tipi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Arano. CERPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabricio Tipi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. SAN LORENZO FC's Ricardo Cordearo was substituted for Gavino Fortun. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SAN LORENZO FC fully deserved thier win.
