After some careless play in the Quien Te iba a Decir..... defense, Benito Cutberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Precioso. The Quien Te iba a Decir..... fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Precioso should have stopped the shot. Rogelio Heriberto hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Roque Precioso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes in the game, Benito Cutberto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Pacho in the 41st minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Javier Rocio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Cutberto to maneuver through the defense. If Marcelo Cresenciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Marcelo Cresenciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Rocio having to interfere. The supporters of Quien Te iba a Decir..... booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Longo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Rosalio's late challenge caught a Quien Te iba a Decir.....'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Precioso was a little too slow when Benito Cutberto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-3. If Benito Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Quien Te iba a Decir..... lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
