Tanek Bielejewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Pedro Barrionuevo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 29th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tanek Bielejewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After taking down the ball on Grasshoppers Klucze's corner Hieronim Skrzypek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Bielejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Grasshoppers Klucze's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Eliseo Mina drilling the ball in to score 0-3 behind Grasshoppers Klucze's goalkeeper. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kacper Charamut in the 42nd minute. Tanek Bielejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. Tanek Bielejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Grasshoppers Klucze players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-3.

Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hieronim Skrzypek in the 52nd minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wit Walicki, made in the 53rd minute of the game. After having played for 58 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Raschke came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Raschke in the 63rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Pedro Barrionuevo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Grasshoppers Klucze's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Tanek Bielejewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Bielejewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugon Imbor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Tadeusz Raschke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Tanek Bielejewski was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-4. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Grasshoppers Klucze made a substitution. Karol Kolbert replaced Hieronim Skrzypek. Tanek Bielejewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 85th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeusz Raschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
