Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Anton in the 5th minute. In the 5th minute, Nistor Anton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Iustin Radovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Radovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cătălin Trică. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Iustin Radovan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Iustin Radovan slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nistor Anton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purcaresti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Anton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iustin Radovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cătălin Trică made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Purcaresti CSS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Zamfirescu in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Radovan was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Pavel Mazăre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Iustin Radovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Radovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cătălin Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Trică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Radovan in the 74th minute of the match. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cătălin Trică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Radovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. When Iustin Radovan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Purcaresti CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Radovan couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cătălin Trică, 5-2. Nistor Anton took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Purcaresti CSS fully deserved thier win.
