Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ercole Marcon took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ercole Marcon sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Atletico Van Goof fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Atletico Van Goof's Ercole Marcon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Atletico Van Goof getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Felice Piano hit a great ball. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ercole Marcon sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Safy Belfaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Safy Belfaa came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Atletico Van Goof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Safy Belfaa couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ercole Marcon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alexander Tomasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Ercole Marcon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Marcon in the 40th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Alcocer got free with Alberto Di Placido in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alberto Di Placido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Safy Belfaa came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 59th minute of play forced Atletico Van Goof's goalkeeper Alberto Di Placido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Di Placido was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Eliseo Noboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Noboa really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. After 65th play minutes Safy Belfaa shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 72nd minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Ercole Marcon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Ercole Marcon put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. After having played for 83 minutes, Safy Belfaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Van Goof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Safy Belfaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Safy Belfaa in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Atletico Van Goof booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Alexander Tomasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Marcon in the 88th minute of play. Ercole Marcon scored 7-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95thth minute of the game Ercole Marcon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
