The supporters of Canada booed when Sheriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kılıçalp Ayçetin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yahia van der Saar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
