Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Will Alderson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Alderson in the 9th minute of the match. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Greenbay! 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Shakespeare came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andre Shakespeare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Shakespeare in the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Andre Shakespeare's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The supporters of Greenbay booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Greenbay's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Remus came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Remus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of Venezuela echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Greenbay had held the ball for most of the match.
