Jacek Sas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Torbjörn Ekgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Green Team TV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Almstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Green Team TV's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Skålberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Erik Skålberg. Jan-Erik Skålberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eskil Alberg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A collision led to Green Team TV getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kenneth Almstedt hit a great ball. Jan-Erik Skålberg made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenneth Almstedt during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jan-Erik Skålberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
