In the 9th minute, Carter George got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 11th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathaniel Burnett scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jax Williamson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jax Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nathaniel Burnett's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes of play, Canada's Jan Dixon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidney Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Nate Mills with Rohan Watson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Canada's Jan Dixon in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Koby Wright was the one to do the kick off. Armandinho Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nathaniel Burnett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jax Williamson having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituba - FSCMZ's zone, Richard Mccarthy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Motta came out of the goal and Richard Mccarthy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carter George received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sidney Motta came out and tried to block the shot, but Carter George slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 55th minute. Canada made a substitution. Filip Edwards replaced Koby Wright. 65 minutes into the match, Canada's Jan Dixon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Válbson Pimenta was substituted for Berenguer Anda. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ersan Ergüleç was substituted for Nathaniel Burnett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersan Ergüleç in the 75th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jax Williamson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Dixon. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Pimenta in the 92nd minute of the match. Sidney Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute of the match Canada got a corner. Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan Dixon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Canada played a much better game than Imbituba - FSCMZ and deserved their victory. The Imbituba - FSCMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
