Zach Harrison hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Gustavo Tartalo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Day skillfully saved the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Tartalo was slow to take the kick. During this time Soroca F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Soroca F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Adrián Espadas hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match Soroca F.C. got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Tartalo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 35 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 39th minute of play. Hernan Lano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. USA's Monty Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Dan Wennerqvist in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Răzvan Necula replaced Adrián Espadas. Dan Wennerqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Monty Rogers's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when USA's Monty Rogers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Soroca F.C.'s Rodolfo Atarrabi was substituted for Hernan Lano. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monty Rogers scored 0-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Wennerqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of USA booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Dan Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes Soroca F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jenson Smith who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to USA's Marco Baker getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 97th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Soroca F.C. throughout the match.
