Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gaizka Aballe took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Gaizka Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Gaizka Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. When Gaizka Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Born To Win F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaizka Aballe couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Born To Win F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Curro Quevedo, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curro Quevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaizka Aballe in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When Nalo Rienda fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Born To Win F.C.'s protests and gave Nalo Rienda a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Born To Win F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nalo Rienda. In the 30th minute, Gaizka Aballe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 38th minute of the match Nalo Rienda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rosario Vilanova received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Born To Win F.C.'s Rosario Vilanova made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Born To Win F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nono Ramis to maneuver through the defense. Curro Quevedo made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Eliseo Noboa sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Curro Quevedo came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer. But to his dismay, Aaron Alcocer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 55th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaizka Aballe in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaizka Aballe went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 62 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosario Vilanova. Fresco Pais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. During the 69th minute of the match Lautaro Puig completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 69 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Born To Win F.C. were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaizka Aballe took the corner. After 74 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fresco Pais in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute, Fresco Pais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Born To Win F.C.'s Gaizka Aballe was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaizka Aballe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosario Vilanova struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Born To Win F.C.. When the final whistle sounded Born To Win F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
