Tobias Oto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute. With his leg Tobias Oto managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Oto. Efespor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Efespor's Tobias Oto. Tobias Oto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Tobias Oto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Casaus went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Efespor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig to a score. 6-0 in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 61st minute of play forced Efespor's goalkeeper Tobias Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Bürger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
