Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Juan Almeida kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 3rd minute of play forced Riograndense FC's goalkeeper Wellington Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Juan Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. After 11 played minutes Riograndense FC got a freekick which was hit by Raúl de Carvalho. Wellington Sena came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Moises Tafalla. But to his dismay, Moises Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Wellington Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Riograndense FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Vasconcelos. After a defensive mix-up in Riograndense FC's zone, Luca Espinar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Sena came out of the goal and Luca Espinar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Torres in the 25th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Riograndense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Juan Almeida could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Lautaro Navarro however easily saved by the left post. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Torres in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Lino Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Emanuel Ocampo's late challenge caught a Riograndense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Ocampo helped the player get up and apologised. Rômulo Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Sena having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Almeida in the 54th minute of the match. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Riograndense FC's Juan Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Wellington Sena in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Almeida took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Esteban Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Riograndense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The Riograndense FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
