A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peracal FC's Honorato Donis. In the 35th minute, Peracal FC's Ronaldinho Maujo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 38th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicanor Rosete was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The supporters of Peracal FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Peracal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

54 minutes into the game, Peracal FC's Ronaldinho Maujo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Nicanor Rosete made a huge save. Nicanor Rosete made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Maujo in the 70th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peracal FC's Servando Santander was substituted for Gai Batalle. In the 85th minute Behe Andrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Nicanor Rosete made a huge save. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peracal FC's Castulo Cosmen was substituted for Ronaldinho Maujo. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Castulo Cosmen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Castulo Cosmen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peracal FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
