The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phillip Fitzsymon was the one to do the kick off. Anibal Vachon might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Vachon ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Thomas got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Fitzsymon in the 55th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Phillip Fitzsymon took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. 59 minutes into the match, Anibal Vachon notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The MEAN MACHINE fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when MEAN MACHINE's Phillip Fitzsymon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 70th minute, MEAN MACHINE's Anibal Vachon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Anibal Vachon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Anibal Vachon sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Anibal Vachon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anibal Vachon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. MEAN MACHINE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pastor Luar in the 89th minute. When Anibal Vachon came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the MEAN MACHINE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Vachon couldn't finish the play. When the match was over MEAN MACHINE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Salvador throughout the match.
