Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Rosini in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After 55 played minutes Lucky Number Team got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Burelli. In the 67th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. After having played for 76 minutes, Aurelio Renzetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
