Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Loco Palermo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giacomo Casanova. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Rossi went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Palermo was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Paolo Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Mastache was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Colombia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montesacro FC fully deserved thier win.
