Julio Vera was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Krzysztof Hajduk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Krzysztof Hajduk really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Krzysztof Hajduk sent off a good shot on target. Konstanty Kilarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 37th minute of the match. Krzysztof Hajduk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 42 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Radomir Zieba who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Konstanty Kilarski. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Konstanty Kilarski. That made the score 2-2 after 55 minutes of play. JUNICO Ełk's Rikard Træden was substituted for Krzysztof Hajduk. In the 61st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Kilarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, JUNICO Ełk's goalkeeper Konstanty Kilarski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by JUNICO Ełk's Rikard Træden. But to his dismay, Rikard Træden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Wit Tipinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of JUNICO Ełk booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wit Tipinski came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the JUNICO Ełk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wit Tipinski couldn't finish the play. Vladimiro Theobald charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Theobald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JUNICO Ełk getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Vladimiro Theobald hit a great ball.
