Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Dimitriu in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Dimitriu in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Daniel Dimitriu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Stângã. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the FC Truseni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Daniel Dimitriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Vrednic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Truseni's Emilian Vârtosu got a free kick in the 37th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Octavian Tâmbalari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vadim Macovei, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Stângã in the 57th minute of play. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Dimitriu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavian Tâmbalari was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Aaron Alcocer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aaron Alcocer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 72 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Dimitriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Stângã scored 2-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Stângã came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Stângã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Dimitriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Daniel Dimitriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Truseni walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
