Hernán Pajot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mevlüt Tacir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Hernán Pajot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when Academia NOFX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Johan Loria fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia NOFX's protests and gave Johan Loria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Johan Loria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernán Pajot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Loria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Felipe Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia NOFX the free kick. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Paulo Richie's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 38 minutes, Johan Loria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia NOFX's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johan Loria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Academia NOFX's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Hernán Pajot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mevlüt Tacir in the 43rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hernán Pajot made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Loria in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. After 55 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. In the 58th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Loria in the 60th minute of play. Hernán Pajot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Mevlüt Tacir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernán Pajot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernán Pajot came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hernán Pajot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
