Turleque booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zvonimir Marković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Franz Nötzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Eduino Ruiz struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.D. Turleque. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 14th minute. Mel Pais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Franz Nötzel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Franz Nötzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After a defensive mix-up in C.D. Turleque's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Orbiz came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Eduino Ruiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fortunato Orbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Turleque's Franz Nötzel made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Franz Nötzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a C.D. Turleque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.D. Turleque's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Orbiz came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Epifanio Arias hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Epifanio Arias in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. After 81 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 87th minute of the match Playo Rienda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Fortunato Orbiz made a huge save. Fortunato Orbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 89th minute of the match. C.D. Turleque were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
