Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Daniel Stângã struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Truseni. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Dimitriu in the 4th minute of play. From a short distance, FC Truseni's Daniel Dimitriu, in the 4th minute, tried to place the ball behind Benito Sanz, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Tâmbalari having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the FC Truseni players grew even worse after the yellow card. The long shot by Dan Dadu in the 15th minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Daniel Stângã recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florin Vrednic. The supporters of FC Truseni booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Vadim Macovei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Dimitriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Daniel Stângã tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Vrednic in the 40th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Dimitriu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Axel Tasis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Octavian Tâmbalari. The goal made the score 0-1. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Daniel Stângã kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. If Daniel Stângã had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, FC Truseni's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Octavian Tâmbalari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Stângã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Truseni getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Tudor Fratea hit a great ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Octavian Tâmbalari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the FC Truseni players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Truseni booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Dimitriu took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. FC Truseni walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
