With his leg Lennart Juhlin managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Ecuador's Agustín Saelices fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lennart Juhlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Lennart Juhlin however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute, Ludwig Hägg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saint Glenn Gothenburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Lennart Juhlin in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Hägg, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Saint Glenn Gothenburg were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demesio Faxardo took the corner. In the 46th minute Ludwig Hägg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Juhlin made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Ludwig Hägg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saint Glenn Gothenburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 56 minutes into the match, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lennart Juhlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
