When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evelio Sasoin made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Jayvier in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Abalos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CENTAURO's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Abalos came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Iker Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Iker Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Evelio Sasoin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Abalos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Venezuela players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
