With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg A.J. 韩文海 saved Joinville Esporte Clube from getting behind. Victor Sena hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Chile players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Joinville Esporte Clube were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Gimeno to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over A.J. 韩文海. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 84th minute of play. A.J. 韩文海 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Chile booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Uchiha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerry Uchiha went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Chile supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Joinville Esporte Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Joinville Esporte Clube.
