The Haiti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Seide should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Jean Claude Ulysse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soriano Rozas, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 31 minutes in the game Nazario Von Roques did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Zacarías Camus. Vladimiro Dueñas made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ernso Constant sent off a good shot on target. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeraldo Manns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nazario Von Roques made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jeraldo Manns however managed to control. 42 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Maurilio Catrileo came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jonathan Alphonse fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haiti's protests and gave Jonathan Alphonse a yellow card for diving instead.

A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Saint Jean Pierre hit a great ball. If Maurilio Catrileo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nastasio Faez. Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Soriano Rozas in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Jean Marie Alcius. Jose Aballay made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nastasio Faez immediately put the ball in play. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nastasio Faez in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Nastasio Faez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manuel Rodríguez 1186 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.
