Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaan Kaa in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Frits Elhart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hannover Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 27 played minutes Hannover Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Frits Elhart. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaan Kaa in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute of the match Hannover Football Club got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cícero Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Cruz in the 38th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tymoteusz Sanocki having to interfere. Tymoteusz Sanocki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Mendes in the 43rd minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaan Kaa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Hannover Football Club were awarded a corner. Cícero Cearense went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Hannover Football Club's corner Cícero Cearense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Tymoteusz Sanocki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Mendes in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Mendes came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 72 played minutes Hannover Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Tiago da Silva. When Kaan Kaa came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Hannover Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaan Kaa couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaan Kaa in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Luís Fabiano Tasso took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Tymoteusz Sanocki made a huge save. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
