Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when James Wilson took the kick off in the first half of the match. James Wilsons short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Wilson in the 5th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Roberto baggi's Alfredo Mazzocchi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Arrigo Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Alfredo Mazzocchi took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Roberto baggi getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. James Wilson hit a great ball. The supporters of Roberto baggi booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Arrigo Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Wilson in the 28th minute of play. Carter Cattaneo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 37th match minute, Roberto baggi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Wilson to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James Wilson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when James Wilson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-1. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Alfredo Mazzocchi scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

A collision led to Roberto baggi getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bernard Mol hit a great ball. After 55 minutes of play, Roberto baggi's James Wilson made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Mazzocchi in the 59th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Roberto baggi's Carter Cattaneo got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute, Alfredo Mazzocchi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roberto baggi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. In the 67th minute, Anfilogino Bontempi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Mazzocchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Wilson in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Wilson went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. In the 88th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, Roberto baggi's Arrigo Motta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Roberto baggi reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Wilson in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Wilson in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Alfredo Mazzocchi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Roberto baggi getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Bernard Mol hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Roberto baggi were the better team. Roberto baggi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
