Benjamin Lara scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Benjamin Lara made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Joinville Esporte Clube's Amauri Vieira. Benjamin Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Joinville Esporte Clube's Benjamin Lara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 17 minutes of play. 21 minutes into the match, Benjamin Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Joinville Esporte Clube's Benjamin Lara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Benjamin Lara took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lara in the 35th minute of play. Benjamin Lara took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Benjamin Lara did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 8-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Joinville Esporte Clube's Benjamin Lara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Benjamin Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute, Benjamin Lara made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Benjamin Lara took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. In the 62nd minute, Benjamin Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. Joinville Esporte Clube made a substitution. Gino Vander replaced Aílton Melo. Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha was substituted for Benjamin Lara. Jerry Uchiha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Uchiha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Uchiha took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. Jerry Uchiha might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Uchiha ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerry Uchiha went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. In the 87th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Jerry Uchiha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 16-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jerry Uchiha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
